Liverpool comes to Asia...

I have attended the 2nd Liverpool game of my life yesterday... the last match was of cos the previous Liverpool VS Singapore game held at exactly the same National Stadium in year 2001.. I was 17 that year...

Micheal Owen and Emile Heskey scored the goals.. during that game..

In my life, there are only 3 soccer team that I have gone all the way out to support them..they are Liverpool, England and Singapore..

So last night match is definitely a match I couldn't miss.. because it consist of both my favorite teams.. Liverpool and Singapore.. I really have mixed feelings..

1. First Team and English Premier League playing Level.

The results was slightly one sided.. with Liverpool winning Singapore 5-0...and Rafael Benitez was so confident of his players in the final 15 mins that the squad consist of Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Alvaro Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Jamie Carragher, Albert Riera and Fernando Torres...

The speed and the style of play in the final 15mins with attacks leading by wingers of both sideds... especially Dirk Kuyt his feel, his touch and the way he open up the attack for Liverpool shows that he is totally ready for the new season...

2. Rafael Benitez answered the Fans

The fans have been cheering for Fernando Torres.. since the first kick off...and Xabi Alonso after the second half kick off...

He answered the call from the fans for Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso..cheers..

3. Xabi Alonso please stay...

During the game.. alot of fans have chanted for both Torres and Xabi Alonso... many fans have been chanting for Xabi Alonso to stay.. in Liverpool FC for future to come... there are even banners around the stadium such as 'Alonso Stay'

4. Viewing Liverpool players Warming up and coaches.. in front of my real eyes..

I saw Pepe Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Fernando Torres, Rafael Benitez and Sammy Lee..and seems like Sammy Lee really have fate with singapore..

He was the first team coach 8 years back and came to singapore too...

5. Kallang Roar...is back, for the last time?

This is the icon feeling of our National Stadium since 1970s...

But what is Kallang Roar?

It actually occurred when more then 50% of the people in the full house National Stadium are stepping on the floor using their feets together and cause the National Stadium to shake... yes its really shaking..

National Stadium is sHaKiNG once again last nite!!!!

This respect is reserved for top moments for Singapore Football or Teams like Liverpool which have great support...

Sadly stadium is tearing down soon, i will miss this wan alot :(

6. Kallang Wave...for the last time also?

Not as impact and as rare as Kallang Roar.. and this also occurred during National Day Parade held in the Stadium..apart from soccer matches but this is still apart of Singapore History...

kaLLaNg WavE... :D

7. Singapore National Team

This match was held amidst of Singapore League season period.. when most of the Singapore national player are still playing for their club week in and week out...

The National Team is totally not glue together... there is no direction of play and attack...but some of the youngsters are playing quite well and showing some future prospects..

Lets hope Raddy Avramovic.. can bring Glory for Singapore once again... :)

8. Another 8 years of waiting?

The last time they came in 2001... We waited for 8 years to see them again..

Hope this time there wasn't another 8 years... if not I would be 33 years old when they came once again in 2017?
