Singapore National Team...
I found an interesting article in the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) website..
Its an interview with our National Team coach Raddy Avramovic after the game with Liverpool....
How I wish Fernando Torres would become a Singaporean and play for Singapore... :)

Interview with Radojko Avramovic (Post-Match Conference)
Radojko Avramovic: We need to believe more in ourselves
Was the result a fair reflection of the game?
Radojko Avramovic: It was disappointing from the result point of view and in particular our performance in the second half. We coped very well in the first half and stopped Liverpool from creating chances. Five goals were definitely too much as at least two or three of the goals were the result of our own errors.
What could we have done more?
Radojko Avramovic: I was not satisfied with our attacking play and we did not take enough initiative in front of goal to create more chances for ourselves.
What was the biggest lesson for us?
Radojko Avramovic: There were two elements in which we were not good enough on the night: we were not good enough in 1 v 1 situations both in attacking and defending situations and in the second half our fitness levels dropped. In the second half, we didn’t play as a team but instead played as individuals.
What were the positives we could take out of the game?
Radojko Avramovic: We showed what we could do in the first half especially tactically. We need to start believing more in ourselves and not be afraid about facing any team.
Your thoughts on Hariss’ first appearance for the National Team after his long injury layoff?
Radojko Avramovic: He is definitely very promising and one for the future. It will be too tough to judge him based on this game but he must learn to be more adventurous in game situations and he should not be afraid.

Liverpool comes to Asia...

I have attended the 2nd Liverpool game of my life yesterday... the last match was of cos the previous Liverpool VS Singapore game held at exactly the same National Stadium in year 2001.. I was 17 that year...
Micheal Owen and Emile Heskey scored the goals.. during that game..
In my life, there are only 3 soccer team that I have gone all the way out to support them..they are Liverpool, England and Singapore..
So last night match is definitely a match I couldn't miss.. because it consist of both my favorite teams.. Liverpool and Singapore.. I really have mixed feelings..

1. First Team and English Premier League playing Level.
The results was slightly one sided.. with Liverpool winning Singapore 5-0...and Rafael Benitez was so confident of his players in the final 15 mins that the squad consist of Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Alvaro Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Jamie Carragher, Albert Riera and Fernando Torres...
The speed and the style of play in the final 15mins with attacks leading by wingers of both sideds... especially Dirk Kuyt his feel, his touch and the way he open up the attack for Liverpool shows that he is totally ready for the new season...

2. Rafael Benitez answered the Fans
The fans have been cheering for Fernando Torres.. since the first kick off...and Xabi Alonso after the second half kick off...
He answered the call from the fans for Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso..cheers..

3. Xabi Alonso please stay...
During the game.. alot of fans have chanted for both Torres and Xabi Alonso... many fans have been chanting for Xabi Alonso to stay.. in Liverpool FC for future to come... there are even banners around the stadium such as 'Alonso Stay'

4. Viewing Liverpool players Warming up and coaches.. in front of my real eyes..
I saw Pepe Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Fernando Torres, Rafael Benitez and Sammy Lee..and seems like Sammy Lee really have fate with singapore..
He was the first team coach 8 years back and came to singapore too...

5. Kallang Roar...is back, for the last time?
This is the icon feeling of our National Stadium since 1970s...
But what is Kallang Roar?
It actually occurred when more then 50% of the people in the full house National Stadium are stepping on the floor using their feets together and cause the National Stadium to shake... yes its really shaking..
National Stadium is sHaKiNG once again last nite!!!!
This respect is reserved for top moments for Singapore Football or Teams like Liverpool which have great support...
Sadly stadium is tearing down soon, i will miss this wan alot :(
6. Kallang Wave...for the last time also?
Not as impact and as rare as Kallang Roar.. and this also occurred during National Day Parade held in the Stadium..apart from soccer matches but this is still apart of Singapore History...
kaLLaNg WavE... :D
7. Singapore National Team
This match was held amidst of Singapore League season period.. when most of the Singapore national player are still playing for their club week in and week out...
The National Team is totally not glue together... there is no direction of play and attack...but some of the youngsters are playing quite well and showing some future prospects..
Lets hope Raddy Avramovic.. can bring Glory for Singapore once again... :)
8. Another 8 years of waiting?
The last time they came in 2001... We waited for 8 years to see them again..
Hope this time there wasn't another 8 years... if not I would be 33 years old when they came once again in 2017?

Total Solar Eclipse...
There was a very big event going on 22 July 2009...
Total Solar Eclipse is happening...

Read from Wikipedia that... Total Solar Eclipse occurs when our Moon was directly in between our Sun and the Eclipse occurs when the body shape of the Moon blocks the Sun..
Depending on the amount of blockage from the Moon, some are partial blockage...and a total blackout of the entire area will only occur when Total Solar Eclipse occurs...
Solar Eclipse happens basically twice a year.. but the reason why this particular Eclipse on 22 July 2009 is getting alot of attention then before is because this will be one of the longest duration Eclipse in 21st century...
Location of the Eclipse is another factor as it is occurring in areas which has alot of mass population...
Total Solar Eclipse will turn daylight into darkness with road and building lights
turned on during the Total Solar Eclipse..
In areas such as India cities Surat, Vadodara, Bhopal, Varanasi, Patna, Gaya, Dinajpur, Siliguri, Guwahati, Tawang and China cities Chengdu, Nanchong, Chongqing, Yichang, Jingzhou, Wuhan, Huanggang, Hefei, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Huzhou, Suzhou, Jiaxing, Ningbo, Shanghai...
Shape of the Moon blocking the Sun can also be considered as a very rare scene and very beautiful scene..
We can never control the movements of Earth,Moon and Sun and there goes the excitement of why so many people are so interested in viewing Total Solar Eclipse each time it happens....
Although I am unable to watch any of the actual Total Solar Eclipse but I manage to get home before 11.30pm on wednesday to catch on the repeat telecast of the Total Solar Eclipse TV program...
Nice to hear the people cheering upon seeing total darkness with street and building lights turned on when the Total Solar Eclipse occurs at different location..
Really enjoyed the program very much.. :)

Lost love letter reunites couple after 16 years...

I was surfing the net as usual and saw this very short, simple and sweet article....
The title was Lost love letter reunites couple after 16 years.
Its about a British man and his Spanish former sweetheart, they get to know each other during a foreign exchange student program in Brigham, southwest England.
Steve Smith and Carmen Ruiz-Perez both fell in love... at the age of 25.. 17 years ago...
But their relationship ended after she moved to France and run a shop in Paris.
Few years later, in bid to rekindle their love, Smith sent a letter to her mother's home in Spain. It was placed on the mantelpiece, but slipped down behind the fireplace and was lost for over a decade.
The missing missive was only found when builders removed the fireplace during renovation work.
When Carmen got the letter 1-2 years ago, She didn't phone him at all and kept picking up the phone and putting it down again.
But she knew she had to make the call...
When they were reunited, it was as if time had stood still...
When they met again it was like a firm... They ran across the airport into each other's arm.
They met up and fell in love all over again.
Fortunately, the letter did eventually end up where it supposed to be... and they got married last Friday..
Sounds exactly like a movie .. and wish them well... :)

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince...

Weekends seems to ended in a blink of a moment always come go fast and fade away before I could realize today is a working day...
But this weekend had made me sort out those doubts in my mind... Bring my girlfriend out to watch Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince and was sad with the ending.
Because after the past 5 series of Harry Potter when the Dark Eaters is always being defeated, this book was like a wake up call to Harry Potter and the death of Albus Dumbledore due to exploration of a risky clue which turn out to be another clue from the person who written the note R.A.B...
How much Albus Dumbledore cares for Harry Potter, how he seen Harry Potter grown up on each of the books and sadly how he risk his life and sacrifice himself deeply to ensure Harry Potter is safe...this time..
R.I.P Albus Dumbledore :(
Apart of his friends, Harry Potter as the chosen one seems to be alone to defeated the Dark Eaters.. really a sad book which does not bring any joy to those who supported Harry Potter all the way....
Anyway it also brings out some sort of curiosity to watch the last episode of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ...
Can Harry Potter win without advise and guidances of Albus Dumbledore?
How Did You Know...
After watching the movie, we walk pass a music album shop and we heard this music...
Its really a very nice and touching song...
Hope you guys like this song :)

Dark Clouds

I feel I am about to enter a patch of dark clouds beginning next month... which was also my birthday period..
Whenever I have things to do and jobs to complete, I will always try my very best and I don't really mind to stay for late hours...
Problem is now quite worrying and there's nothing much I could do...
I am thankful for the chance given to my current job...2 years back.. I nearly didn't came back if not for an advise given...
I kept telling myself that 2 years is quite a long time...
I am grateful for the past 2 years and I would really prefer stability for another 1 years in order to complete my part-time studies...
Searching a new path will requires time to search, learn, adapt, understand..
Saying good bye after 2 years, will be sad...
Such scenario occurring on a middle of an crucial school term will be something I am not looking forward to...
I am worry... but nothing much I could do... :(

NDP 2009 Theme Song
I quite like this year's NDP 2009 Theme Song... It was very different was compared to the past few years...
The entire MV was trying to slow time down...in order for us to look back at the past... look at the present, be happy with whatever we have achieve in a very relax manner and looks towards the future horizon with full of hope and remember we are Singaporeans and this is our country...
Many of the NDP Theme Song was mostly out to highlight our achievements but this MV seems to be going for relax, happiness and hope...
Most Singaporeans are used rushing here and there... I am sure they will feel this is a very slow MV... maybe even time wasting.. but if you sit down relax sit down and fully enjoy the music..
I am sure you will enjoy it... :)
Thank you mummy...

Being in a single parent family and living in a 2 room rented flat was never easy...
In the past...when I was a children and teenager, my mum was the only breadwinner and the only source of income....living in a 2 room rented flat.
Family survival seems more important then anything... without salary we couldn't pay house rental, PUB bills and our food expenses... there is every possible that me and my mummy would ended sleeping on streets if we didn't work hard... enough.
There was even a period of time my mummy have to work 7 days a week in order to support herself and me...
Every school holiday since I was 12 years old.. picking up a holiday job is a MUST and the only way I could raise up money to purchase my personal item...
Such that I brought my first computer at the age of 13.. using my holiday job salary in 1997...
I am nothing ... I am just bonded in an environment that there is no option to ask anything I wanted... other then obtaining it myself...
after my family crisis occurred... when I was young..if either of my parents abandoned me..
I won't know who I am today... I might even be living in an orphan home or streets...
My mum is the greatest mum is this world, I can't be without her...
In order to raise me up, work seems to become the ever lasting event that occupied my mum time...
Until I finished my ITE education, went to army and I begin making full use of the army allowances as my living expenses..
I asked my mum to stop working on weekends in 2004 as she wasn't young anymore... It was then my mummy start to have sometime to breath in some fresh air and relax herself a bit...
Over the past few years I have been working full-time and studying part time... I finally let my mum understand its really time to totally relax herself and enjoy her golden years... I will try my best to look after myself no matter what came in the future...
I don't wan mummy to be tired anymore... I want my mum to spend some with her personal interests and ever aging relatives and treasure every moment of it with them...
While I treasure every moment with my mummy... :)
p.s: 15 July 2009 is Mummy's 64 years old birthday..

Memorial of Michael Jackson
I think... he is a real talent and really very much respected all around the world...
Never I saw.. CNN news channel... takedown all the stock and news information posting...not even during their president election update...
Only Michael Jackson....which CNN give him the highest respect ever... the entire channel during the playback of his personal history was left with 3 words... CNN..
Never I saw Mediacorp Channel 5 dedicate the entire timeslot between 5.30pm to 1.30am this morning for just a single person....
I saw from Straits Times... when a famous celebrity dies, his/she body will wonder around the place he wanted to be at the most....
It happens with so many celebrity before... like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Orson Welles, Harry Houdini, Andrew Jackson, John Lennon, Abraham Lincoln, Lucille Ball and James Dean.
This time it happens on Michael Jackson...when CNN visited his Neverland house after his death...for an memorial interview and they spotted a shadow.. only during the video editing...
My hair stands... when i look at it...I think its really him and I always feel that CNN a news channel that reports news truthfully...
Those who watches the memorial will agree.. actually he did alot to help out in charity ... and made alot of good friends.. specially Diana Ross who look after him since he was a 10 years old during the TV shows...
Then come the specially sad part.. when her daughter speaks...
Nothing can be compared to the love of our parents...
I always feel that and I hope their children grow up well..
under the care of jackson family :)

Eyes checkup...
Went for a medicial appt at NUH ... when the tests contacted by the specialist was finished... my eyes become so red that no one dares to look at me.. during that 1 hour.. after the eye test...
I thought of going to work... but when the doctor issue me an MC and he ask me to take a day rest for my eye... i decided to... cos the eyes is really very red...

Slept early the previous night...
But I recorded the entire memorial service of Michael Jackson using my HubStation box while I was sleeping in the middle of the night...
After a few hours rest in the afternoon yesterday.. my eyes was much much better.. and I wake up and watch the recordings i made...

I will now workhard on my studies.. and try my best in my work...
And save some money... for the future...
Thanks for being with me past few months since my blog is re-launched...

Ice Age 3
Quite alot of things happen on sunday also between me and my dear..
Which added to the sadness already in my mind...on saturday's visit of mrs richard...
And we ended up watching 2 movies @ Suntec City
Re-watching transformers 2 and watching of Ice Age 3...
Watching Ice Age 3 really does cheer me up abit...
This is my favorite part in Ice Age 3...enjoy :)
mrs richards...

When I shifted to Block 117 in year 27th September 1997...at the age of 13 years old... I never expect I would be meeting very nice Eurasian neighbor... who played a very great part in my youth days memories...
Who teaches me alot about my views of life now...especially her positive view and smiling... which we could still see from her eyes even when facing death...
I always help Mrs Richards... prepare her cake.. chat with her... she always bring me to NTUC fairprice for a walk when I am young.. alot and alot of memories that words can't said up everything...
Mrs Richards helps me to prepare food for my 21 years old birthday party dinner in 6th august 2005...
Mrs richards... I really wish you can get out of NUH... I really wish...
I knew.. when you are not at home again... its either you went to one of your daughters house to stay.. in order to recover from your irregular heart beat.. or you are in hospital...
I am so sorry... because of all my work...overtime.. family... I only discover that you readmitted to hospital on saturday after bringing my mum for medicial appt and check with aunt anus..
I knew.. something was wrong.. I called NUH... heard from the admin telling me that you are warded to ICU... my hearts just fallen down...
Lucky when I visited you.. you are in a normal ward... after 4 days of battle in ICU..due to H1N1 problem I have to wear mask even in a normal ward...
But.. when you look at me.. when you hold my hands... tightly.. and tell mi...
that 3 sentences... I knew how serious was her life and death battle was between last tuesday till friday night.. before she was sent back to a normal ward.. and i visited her...
I nearly lost my best neighbor in my life...I really need to pray for her...
I am blogging this so I could remember Mrs Richard forever...
I really wish she could come out and we will be able to celebrate her 80 years old birthday next year...
I really wish to invite her for my ROM.. and custom wedding dinner...
I might be shifting only to opposite block from blk 117 to blk 121
but my greatest regret ... in order to get a permanent house
is losing 2 great neighbor .. aunt anus and mrs richards..

Singa is masked.

Those who have no idea.. who this icon is.. he is actually our courtesy campaign icon.. and his name is Singa.. he's been around all major courtesy campaign for singapore since 1980s...
Read the papers today... the govt decided to repackage him... with a mask on his mouth... haha so funny... just wanna laugh when looking at his new style...
But the message is serious...we must be hygienic with our hands.. or when we cough, sneeze..and wear a mask when we have a flu.. to delay the spreading of H1N1 virus...
hope everyone gets the message :)
micheal jackson last rehearsel
The company that is organizing Micheal Jackson 'This is it' Concert on July 2009... had released the videos of his final appearances and final concert rehearsal recorded on 23 June 2009..2 days before his death...
Upon viewing the video, I really feel that even at the age of 50.. he is really amazing and can still perform in a level that anyone who supports music would like his performances...quite entertaining..
Quite sad... he left so early... music is better with Micheal Jackson.. :(

asian youth games 2009
So many years have singapore last hosted a sports events and I check from Wikipedia the last time we actually host a major sports event was many years ago..
SEA Games 1993..I was just a primary 3 kid.. that year.. wow..
I am happy see the interests in sports for singaporean seems to grow in past few years and we seems to perform quite ok...
In international sporting events we even breakthrough our 48 years record to win an Olympic Medal in Female Table Tennis Team Event and 5th placing in Butterfly 100m Swimming..
Since the Asian Youth Games 2009 started, I have been trying to catch the highlights of the game and the sports events that catch my mind definitely is Football...
So far the best game I have seen from the Football Tournament is between South Korea U14 VS North Korea U14.
With the quality of play from South Korea U14, from their physical strength in holding the ball, passing and the technical quality of all their goals.. specially the 3rd goal during the game..
I got a feeling that South Korea U14 will win the Football Tournament of Asian Youth Games 2009.

As for Singapore, so far we have won 2 Bronze Medal in Athletics event and finally a 1st Gold Medal in Individual Female Bowling Event... congrats to Team Singapore.
Hope.. our sports athletics will do their best and make Singapore proud.. :)
