raffles city + m1 broadband
Met up my coursemates for the PC Show 2009 at suntec....I am going with them... because they needed a new broadband plan as their current contract once have expired...
So I reach there at around 2pm.. which is much earlier then our promised time of 3pm... and I decided to walk around raffles city...
alot of changes had been made at the basement.... and I realize now raffles city is not only a place you can go for high-class shopping... but you can also go for great food...
the developers of raffles city have actually allocated most of the raffles city basement 1 for different variety of food...
you can have... casual dining, fast food, cafes, restaurants and small bites... all over basement 1...a very different view as compared to the past...
do pay a visit to raffles city basement 1... :)
Met wai loon and foo choon ken at around 3plus.. and we walk over to suntec via city link mall...we are chatting about the free items given for the sign-up of new broadband plan...
and starhub and singtel was always in my friend's mind as the eventual ISP for the new sign-up of another 2 years...
when we reached the doorstep of suntec hall 603.. we received 3 advertisement slips from 3 different ISP... Starhub, Singnet and new challanger M1...
to our surprise... M1 might be very new into this broadband market... but they are offering a very special broadband promotion that my friends simply cannot ignored...

my friend are currently under MaxOnline Express 8Mpbs which they signed up.. 2 years ago.. in year 2007 and they are paying a subscription fee of $59.92 per mth...
it was always in their mind to extend their contact with starhub.. but upgraded to MaxOnline Premium 12Mpbs.. at the slight lesser value provided they couldn't find a better plan with Singnet...
but the surprise offer by M1.. have caught their eyes and also my admire..and we simply forgotten about the free labtops, promotion item or slightly improved broadband speed given if signing up a new broadband plan..

M1 is offering a 100Mbps fixed line broadband plan at only $59 for 2 years contact with free rental of cable modems and sign-up fee waived ...
(M1 uses same technology as StarHub)
this basically means for my friend ... for a same price of $59.. they can upgrade their broadband speed from 8Mpbs to 100Mpbs... and pay 92cents lesser...
but this offer are only available for those who applied during the PC Show 2009... their staff told us that M1 should not be offering such a price again in the coming months.. its just a one-time promotion to increase their customer base...
so upon checking and confirm their contract expiry date with StarHub... they cancelled their existing broadband plan.. and applied with M1...
sadly I couldn't sign-up as i am have purchased a Hubstation box for free 1Mpbs internet access and 3 basic group plan at $25.68 per mth and my contact expires on august 2010..
seeing their eyes and expression when they sign-up the M1 plan..
i am happy for them :)
